In addition, she is certified by Chi for Transformation Systems for professionally straightening hair.

I grew up in a large family in a very small town, Crary, N, Dakota I'm sure everyone has heard of it...not! I started cutting hair in my parent's kitchen, ala Dixiestyle, I had no ides what I was doing, but it seemed to be working for me. When I finished school I moved to the big city, Grand Forks, N. Dakota. That's where I received my cosmetology degree at the Hair Desiners Academy. Actually, one day my Mom came to visit, she said we were going shopping, the next thing I know, I'm at the cosmetology school signing paperwork to start school. Don't get me wrong, I love the industry I'm in. I just hate the fact that my Mom pulled a fast one on me. I thought I was too cool and smart to have that done to me by my Mom. After I graduated from school, I worked in Grand Forks for 4 years for Regis Hairstylists. There was alot of opportunity to transfer throughout the company to different locations and I was ready to see what was out there. This little girl has got to fly! I had a friend in Austin. I thought that was a good place to start my life and career. So I packed two suitcases and jumped on a plane to Austin, TX. Little did I know I was going leaving the freezer and jumping into the frying pan so to speak as far as the weather goes. But I take the heat over the cold any day. Austin is where my training really began. I attended as many advanced classes as I could, and haven't stopped yet. Fashion changes yearly. In order to keep up with the times, you must evolve with it. I became part of the Redkin Specialists Team about 12 years ago, which is an honor to be a part of. Their hairdressers are an amazing group of people. So I work mostly with Redkin products, but will branch out if I come across something new and exciting. So now I have been standing behind a hairstyling chair for 25 years now, and haven't regretted one minute. It validates me to make my clients feel like a million bucks when they leave. I decided to attend cosmetology school after I took the Sisterlock® training in Dallas, Texas in June of 2008. I wanted to provide the best service possible for my customers and I decided that more education would be the best way to offer a full service salon experience. I graduated from Avenue Five Institute a Sassoon Academy Connection School. I am certified to cut hair the Vital Sassoon way. I am also a Keratin Treatment Technician, and a Wella Hair Colorist. I also do relaxers, and extensions. I will also be offering hair braiding services soon. I love to work with natural, straight, curly, and chemically treated hair. I have been an aesthetician and manicurist for 18 years. I have been located in Austin for the last 8. I suffered with cystic acne as a teen, so I understand the importance of good skin care. I knew early on that if I could make someone love their skin, the way my aesthetician helped me, then thats what I wanted to do. I love providing my guests with a positive experience no matter what service they have, from natural manicures, gel lacquer polish, and pedicures, to facials, waxing, and lash extensions.
